  • SDG 17 is to strengthen domestic and international partnerships for sustainable development, in forms such as finance, technology, capacity building, trade, and systemic issues.

  • COVID-19 brought great challenges to international cooperation for sustainable development. Remittances to low- and middle-income countries fell from $554 billion in 2019 to $445 billion in 2020. 
  • More than four billion people still have no access to the Internet, 90% of whom are from developing countries.
  • In 2017, International funding for data and statistics was only half the required level.
