SDG 10. Reduced Inequalities

Understand SDG 10

  • SDG 10 is to achieve income growth of the bottom 40% of the population at a rate above national average; promote social, economic and political inclusion for all genders, races, ages or other status; and ensure that developing countries are well represented and heard in global decision-making.

  • The mortality rate for the poorest 20% of children before the age of 5 is three times higher than that of the richest 20% of children before 5.
  • Despite extended social protection, people with disabilities are still subject to make catastrophic health expenditures 5 times more than average.
  • Global recession squeezes development aid to the developing world, from $420 billion in 2017 to 271$ to 2018.
